Selections by DJ Bunny Ears

For the last 10 years, I’ve mostly been doing DJ sets of 7” vinyl (45s) of 1960’s Jamaican Rocksteady and Ska but for this Intermission mix I wanted to do something special and share another rabbit hole I’ve been going down for some time, which gives me great happiness: Afro Boogie/Funk/Soul. Plus two tracks that I fully obsess on: a Library of Congress field recording and an amazing NJ band. Additionally, here’s some things I’m stoked about that make life good: My family (my wife and three children – my oldest son and two daughters), my career – currently in my role as SVP Executive Music Producer at McCann NY, my massive vinyl record collection (my vinyl weighs a few tons, actually) small batch/fair trade coffee, Star Wars anything, my vintage skateboard stash, my Sonos system, road trips - especially out West and particularly with old friends, being a vegetarian for the last 22 years, traveling anywhere – recently to Iceland and Denmark, though a huge fan of the Caribbean, still being a working-class Midwest kid at heart - though I lived many places around the world, the smell of Lilac.
